MEET OUR
FOUNDER
Philanthropist, community leader, businesswoman, and proud mom, Michelle Hagerty is the visionary Founder of The Power of Sports. She leads the organization with a focus on leveraging sports to create opportunities, strengthen communities, and foster personal growth.
Originally from Maine and now a committed Boca Raton resident, Michelle has spent years championing programs focused on youth development and health. She partners with hospitals, schools, and youth organizations across South Florida, driven by a deep commitment to helping others and strengthening the communities she serves.
OUR CORE PILLARS
The Power of Sports provides financial assistance, program support, and collaborative partnerships to sports-related nonprofits, sports teams, community leagues, and other related initiatives working to broaden access and impact through sport in the following fields:

MENTAL HEALTH
Sports nurture the mind as much as the body, and we support initiatives, organizations committed to emotional well-being for people of all ages, helping them feel grounded, supported and empowered.

EDUCATION
The lessons learned through sports go far beyond the game. We support educational programs that build discipline, accountability, focus, and life skills in school and beyond.

FEMALE ADVOCACY
We work to level the playing field for female athletes by supporting equal access, elevating leadership, and increasing visibility at every level of sport. We believe every girl deserves the chance to compete, lead and be recognized for her talent and potential.

SOCIOECONOMIC ACCESSIBILITY
Cost, resources, and environment shouldn’t determine who gets to play. We invest in programs that reduce socioeconomic barriers, ensuring everyone has the chance to participate, regardless of their situation.
